Description

A group walk from Clarendon Road Primary School around Cwm Idwal.
Starting at Ogwen visitor centre we walked clockwise around the lake, passing the Idwal slabs where we debated man made structures (the bridge) in the countryside, we then scrambled over the waterfall to see if our views changed.
We then continued up the path towards the devils kitchen where we discussed the different types of rocks and erratic rocks before heading down to the stream where we learned how to filter water and why this is a better option than carrying lots of water.
After this we walked towards the pebble lakeside where we made mini boats and had a boat race, discussing which designs worked best and why.
A fun day out, learning lots of mountain skills which will be used tomorrow on our summit day at Moel Eilio.
