Description

After a summer in America decided to go for a nice British walk in the hills with Father and dog. Sunshine and showers defined the weather on the route but overall a fantastic day. Ascent via Jacobs ladder route and descent via Grindbourgh clough. Learnt a lot about the rock formations in the area after post walk research due to inspired interest.

Area : Dark Peak

Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
