Description

Castle Gully Grade 2 at the back of the Poisoned Glen. Not a lot of great scrambling in Ireland. a long approach and initial scramble before the gully proper started . Jack and I were practising rope work and exchanging 'pitches'. I got the lovely slimy, wet, slippy bit that I was glad I decided to pitch. belays were bucket seats or maybe a block in places some easier ground at the top had us moving together. A good day out but I need lots more experience at this. We dfescended via "The windy Gap", a nice descent.
