Checked weather forecast, ground conditions and day light hours and prepared and packed accordingly. The visibility was good when climbing the first munro so navigation was straight forward. This changed on my way to the second munro. The fog came in and there were very few features to use for navigation short legs. I managed to reach the second munro cairn successfully but somehow when taking a bearing towards a chosen feature on the map I ended up not where I intended to go. I relocated myself using all navigational tools and skills available and successfully reach the main 4wd track using the stream as a handrail and the sudden drop in elevation.
