Prepared the night before checking weather and packing for winter conditions and best route to take. Weather was cloudy and overcast with a cold wind which was quite strong at the top of the munro. The terrain was challenging with patches of frozen ice/snow and navigation challenging at times due flat long shape of the area and the long approach to the top of the munro. Was checking constantly to ensure I was on track and relocate myself. On the way out the light was going so had to make use of my torch. Conditions underfoot were such that at times I had to put on my micro spikes (on/off) on higher ground but lower ground was wet.
I attempted to reach the top of this munro before a few months before but at the time the conditions were such that I turned around to ensure I kept myself safe.
