NICAS level 4 Young Leaders session, Beacon Climbing centre
I instructed a NICAS level 4 session for 1.5 hours with 2 young Leaders aged 11 and 15.
One participant had just gained level 3 and this was there first lead session. He had good understanding of lead belay and clipping skills prior to this session, having ghost roped and ground belayed previously at the Beacon.
the other fairly advanced already on level 4. We did some ground based clipping practice and each lead some quality leads on grades 4-6.
we logged our climbs and spoke about good clipping positions.
