Expedition club down to Granite Planet, smaller numbers today. Quick rehearsal of fig 8 and belaying and then developing independent climbers. Students stopped before lowering each time for me to check before giving the verbal communication for them to begin to lower. Worked really well overall and students were happy to be developing the independence to climb freely. Finished on some bouldering with them all.
Next week; teach clove hitches, use of clove hitches and an italian hitch
