The one-time crucible of Welsh climbing. The fine crags of the Pass are easily accessible from the road. On the north side, the principal crags are: Dinas y Gromlech (bearing the famous line of Cenotaph Corner), Carreg Wastad (flat rock) and Clogwyn y Grochan. Further down the valley is Craig Ddu (black rock). On the south side, the principal 'roadside' cliff is Dinas Mot.
Climbed with Jez Brown. Led 1st pitch. Jez led 1/2 of second pitch, stopping before the traverse left under the small roof. Took over and ran into 3rd pitch. Great top pitch, steep and exposed for VS.
