Practised pacing distance and timing distance of up to 300mtrs
Also spent time photographing the surroundings and animals
Compared location data between my phone, GPS and Garmin watch
SPent time identifying trees with use of woodland trust tree ID wheel.
Once or twice had to confirm location by walking past where I thought a track was to ensure it was the right one.
