A day Symonds yat with John working on personal safety skills at the crag and how to rig up top ropes and bottom ropes. we also looked at personal abseils, prussiks and got John to do his first personal abseil! (after some on the ground practice of course). We briefly looked at gear placement, but ultimately john wanted to climb. So I guided him up Emerald, Travellers Rest and Central Route.
