
First session for Irene after almost 6 months break from climbing.
She did really well on that day, we have started with quick warm up in the gym area. Then moved to do some simple boulder problem knowing that commitment and heights are the issue. we have focused on the flow and enjoyment for this session.
No real project was made just to climb and put the head back in the game. After around 10 problems Irene asked can we go and do some ropes as she want to try this and she would like to brush up on belaying as well.
We have managed to finish around 5-6 climbs and 10 belays which was really good - Irene was saying that she is more scared while belaying then while climbing.
Next time need to work more on the confidence.
Very hard session to run from coaching perspective after such a long break. it was hard to pinpoint where to start and what to tackle first - did it bit on the cautious side
