Description

Took a fellow ML up Cnicht via path along Blaen Nantmor, then navved up west-facing ridgeline with scramble to summit. Descended northeast toward Llynau'r Cwn; navved to ring contours in that area using Harveys, then down via the (somewhat awful) path that follows Llyn LLagi. Last 2 hours in the dark but worth it for the spectacular sunset!

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
