Description

Crib Goch scramble as part of a larger QMD. Hit a fairly sheer wall of rock about 3 m high prior to gaining the ridge. I panicked and froze half-way up, but managed to get "unstuck" and ascend. We didn't have ropes so it was a good thing I was able to move on. With my ML knowledge now, I would always take a confidence rope on a day like this so that a client who's new to scrambling can get unstuck more easily :)

Area : Snowdon Massif

Snowdon (Welsh: Yr Wyddfa, pronounced [?? 'w?ðva]) is the highest mountain in Wales, at an altitude of 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside Scotland. It is located in Snowdonia National Park (Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri) in Gwynedd, and has been described as "probably the busiest mountain in Britain".[3] It is designated as a national nature reserve for its rare flora and fauna.
