Description

One of the most gruelling walks I can remember doing, to bag a Donald whose summit I had walked within 20 minutes on the year before. I thought the best approach would be from the east, cycling in from the east and leaving my bike near Backhill of Bush bothy. This was an interesting route, but the walk (stagger) through about 1.5km each way of deforested swamp was horrendous. A steep, wet and slippy scramble to the summit followed, reaching the top in a squally downpour.
