FELDKIRCH PANORAMAWEG PART 1
As part of exploring Via Alpina red route (self sufficient with 20kg pack)
12 hours, 21km, 1970m ascent, grade 1-2 scrambling, wildcamp
Summits: Garsellikopf (2104m) Kuegrat (2123m)

Extreme heat right from the start in Feldkirch from morning. This was in the high 30s up the main trails for the first several hours so planning water availability was important, especially with the alps being so dry.
Once past the Austrian border in to Lichtenstein you join the actual ridge scramble. This was easy scrambling with some fairly big consequence, but the worst of it covered by chains, ladders etc.
Once I could see clearly to the South it was evident summer thunderstorms were brewing. Estimating about 30 minutes to get down to some lower ground. Made my way to a known hunting hide for shelter, before setting up for a wild camp once the storm had passed.
