Description

A recce of possible race routes in new areas.
The classic ascent of Moel Siabod before heading south to Dolweddelan and the surrounding forrestry areas. Climbing up to the pleatau areas to the south and navigating some extreme bog style environments around and down to Bleanau Ffestiniog.
From Bleanau, a steep ascent up to the col North of Moelwyn mawr and then North in to the wild central Moelwyn areas.

Loosing light a bit of tricky navigation through mroe boggy and samey terrain up to Pen-y-Pass.

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
