Description

An exploreation of the Northern most parts of the Mignent before dropping down in to Bleanau and across to the old slate mines high above Croesor. From here heading North through boggy and marshy terrain across the Moelwynion, bagging Moel Meirch and Ysgafell Wen on the way to join the ancient path between Nant Gwynant and Dolwydelan back to the start.

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
