Leading the Yorkshire 3 Peaks with Lost Earth Adventures. I swept the group, taking 1 x F50's and remote observation / managing a F40's before they dropped back to form a group. With health conditions to manage, progress was slow but their pace was consistent. Only towards Ribble Head viaduct did they start to slow. One was happy they'd done enough; the other waited a short while before discussing options then appreciating they would slow further, decided to quit. I fast-tracked to Philpin Farm and met the faster groups descending Whernside. I waited for the now trailing group and as the rain started in earnest, I led them up Ingleborough. The wind was strong but reasonably manageable at the summit, which was clouded out. The descent led to continued wind exposure in the heavy rain and the group began to get cold; we stopped for some warm-wear and continued. At the foot of the hill, the other leader in my group was limping after twisting their knee and we continued to finish in under 12 hours. I waited for the final leader at Horton-in-Ribblesdale station to come in with the final client in just over 12 hours.
