Description

Planned a night nav route for myself and another trainee ML to use in Llyn Cwmfynnon area, based on a route shared with me. They were incredibly difficult points, and we missed some of them. However it was great to work on pacing over very rough ground - deep bog, boulder fields, shoulder-high bracken. I'm usually at 70 on good flat ground but in that terrain, 80 is more appropriate. Quite a night!!

Area : Snowdon Massif

Snowdon (Welsh: Yr Wyddfa) is the highest mountain in Wales, at an altitude of 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside Scotland. It is located in Snowdonia National Park (Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri) in Gwynedd, and has been described as "the busiest mountain in Britain". It is designated as a national nature reserve for its rare flora and fauna.
