Shadowing day 2 of a Hill Skills course with Hill Walking For Beginners | Hill Skills Course (mountainxperience.uk)
Day 2 again started from Edale and was a journey onto Kinder Scout via Grndsbrook Clough, navigating across the plateau and a descent and then ascent of Blackden Brook, back across the plateau and descending to Edale via Ringing Roger.
A very valuable and enjoyable day as Simon allowed me to manage the group in steep terrain, introduce navigation principles and lead for long periods (see pictures from Simon of my group management).
Feedback from the group at the end of the 2 days was very positive.

Dark Peak
Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
