Assisting Mini Mansell at the foundry with a youth climb for 4 14/15 year olds on an social climbing session.
The aim of the session is to provide experienced young climbers with the opportunity to get to know each other and climb socially.
The children were quite experienced but benefited from our guidance especially in bouldering.
We also set up and played some games on the bouldering wall which the children enjoyed.
I learned to keep an eye on the little things especially making sure the children held the rope in a fist when belaying.
