Description

Leading Wainwrights Coast to Coast for National Geographic Adventures Clients who come from the USA. Mostly following the classic route with a few deviations to factor in Hotel Accommodation.
Start at St. Bees head and walk through to Ennerdale Bridge via Cleator and Dent. (strong winds and heavy rain).
Ennerdale Bridge to Honister Pass via Black Sail, Seavy Knots and Fleetwith. (overcast moderate wind later heavy rain).
Grasmere to Patterdale via Great Tongue and Grisdale Tarn (overcast good visibility).
Patterdale steamer to How Town then climb up to Bampton Common and down to Haweswater then on to Shap Abbey. (overcast light rain).
Shap to Orton via Crosby Ravensworth Fell, then on to Ravenstonedale (clear weather no wind).
Ravonstonedale to Kirkby Stephen then transfer to Keld. Walk from Keld to Gunnerside down Swaledale. (overcast with later very heavy rain).
Reeth to Richmond through Swaledale via Marrick, Marske(Clear weather light winds).
Richmond to Catterick Bridge (st Giles Farm) then transfer to Mount Grace Priory at Osmotherley. Walk from priory onto the Clevland Hills to Lord Stones.(heavy rain,very poor visibility, no wind).
Lord Stones to Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge via Round Hill. (overcast, light winds).
Lion Inn to Grosmont via Glaisdale and Egton Bridge. (good weather).
Little Beck to Robin Hood's Bay over Sneaton Moor to Hawsker Bottoms then cliff path to finish (fantastic weather!)
