Description

Guided day for Si - corporate group. Working alongside Bryan W and Paul H. First time guiding 'proper' clients on the edges. Very windy, with a cold northerly - you could see your breath clearly at 600m, gusts almost required bracing on the summit plateau.
Met at Swirls car park at 9.30, walked up via Brown Cove as one large group. Showed clients the start of Swirral Edge before heading to the summit. Snack at the summit shelter before splitting into an edges team and a walking team at 12.15. Bryan and I took the edges team, heading down Swirral and up Striding. Entirely managed with spotting and communication/coaching. Returned to the summit by 2.30pm, back at the cars for 4.30pm.

Area : Eastern Fells

The Eastern Fells occupy the region between the A591 Keswick to Ambleside road and the lake of Ullswater to the west. The Helvellyn range forms the main spine of the group. To the south across the depression of Grisedale Hause, is the Fairfield group of fells.
