Description

Walk with 2 clients (Dad and son) from Hayfield up onto the edge of Kinder Scout overlooking the Reservoir. Went up via William Clough and clockwise in a loop taking in Kinder Downfall, Kinder Low and the Edale Cross. Weather was dry but wind was strong in places and bitterly cold.

Area : Dark Peak

Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
