light weight winter outing in good conidtions. race prep.
park at cuaich dam.
winter conditions on tops, frozen but clear in the valleys. micro spikes and axe taken.
up Gairich and alon the ridge lines and through valleys taking in Sgurr an fhuarain, Sgurr Mor, Sgurr Beag, An eag, then south to sgurr cos na breachd-laoidh along the ridge to Druim a chuirn, down th ridge to the valley to sleep at Kinbreach.
day 2 - sgurr mhurlagain down east taking in small peak of mam an doire dhuinn and down to the car.
pristine conditions with lights wind through out both days. hard snow never too deep but icy through out with axe utilised only on a couple of occasions. good running.

Area : Loch Eil to Glen Shiel

The Great Glen to the east, the A87 to the north and the A830 to the south separate this area from its surroundings and enclose an area of high mountains and low glens. The highest mountain is Sgurr na Ciche (1040m) and further north the South Glen Shiel Ridge is formed by a whopping seven Munros! Also in the area is The Saddle (1010m) which is home to the classic Forcan Ridge. Peaks in the mountains list are all above 900m.
