Started up Milestone Buttress and chose to do ordinary route (D) instead of the MB Approach (G3). Rich’s were wet and skippy, B2’s not best choice for them but worked fine over 5 pitches. From top of the buttress simply contoured around to join the main path towards the ridge, stopped for coffee at the canon stone before continuing up and over. As needed the Great tower, didn’t need to use the rope but did do some spotting for Dad and coaching on techniques etc.
at the top we stayed for a second before beginning to descend to the col, picked up a couple of teenagers who didn’t have head torches or boots or anything besides their drone. They came with us back down. Used the 1:25k Harveys to nav from south summit between two spurs and down.
A really fantastic day, definitely a QMD throughout and really enjoyable.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
