Description

Session 13:30 - 17:00
2x participant for a rock climbing experience at Avon Gorge, Bristol.
Session structure:
- Intro & briefing
- Helmets & harnesses
- How to rethread a fig. 8 knot and finish with a stopper knot.
- How to belay using a Gri-Gri.
- How to lower a climber & and how to descend from the wall
- How to hold a fall.
Belaying was done using the peer belay set up i.e., bell ringing
Finished the session with an abseil form the top of the buttress.
Rigging was from bolted anchors, reached by abseiling from the top of the buttress.
No issues encountered. I had offered to guide this client up some trad routes, but after consulting them about their climbing experience, I thought it better and safer to run a bottom rope session with them instead.
