Description

After a night of storms, the weather broke for a brief walk. So my dad and I drove out to car park at Felldyke and walked the path Eastwards through the managed woodland of Lamplugh Fell. We got up to Sharp Knott and the head South east to Blake Fell. The first part of the walk was on the leeward side of the hill and was relatively warm and calm. As we hit the summit of Blake Fell, the wind speeds were tremendous! Whipping clouds passed at a phenomenal rate. It almost took us off our feet at a few points.
We followed the path around to the south West and hit High Pen, before descending back into the woodland at Low Pen and back to the car.
A decent little walk to stretch the legs after Monday's walk.

Area : North Western Fells

Essentially this area is encompassed by Lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Buttermere and Crummock Water with the southern boundary being the Honister Pass
