Description

4 Clients booked on to "The Big One Abseil" through Up & Under Adventures, 09:30 session.
Started them off on an easy, warm up abseil on the right hand side of the quarry.
Then all did the big 100ft abseil off the main face.
Anchors were rigged up using carabiners on the anchors and using 11m Static rigging rope linking each anchor point to the masterpoint. At the master point was Fig. 8 bunny ears knot with a HMS carabiner attached to each ear. One ear was longer than the other to ensure the moving rope didn't rub against the static rope. Client was attached to 2 ropes (one static with DMM fig 8 descender and one dynamic clipped to them with a DMM belay master) The static rope was locked off with a munter hitch and the dynamic rope was controlled by myself and was attached to the HMS via and italian hitch allowing me to belay the clients.
