
Just a quick session before my coaching session.
Today's focus was he competition problems in The Void, from the YCS and corporate competitions. Standard warm up as per my programme.
I did some warm up climbs on the easier problems in this area. Most are repeats for me ranging from V3 - V5.
Then worked a couple of problems that have been giving me trouble. Both white and on overhangs, but completely different styles of climbing. The first required a high heel hook to get established on a side pull and then some balanced movements to and from rather large and sloping macros. I got the send after 3 attempts this session (video on Instagram).
The the other problem I eventually managed after a dozen attempts. It was the finishing body position that kept throwing me off. I eventually stuck it, but by fluke as I wasn't able to repeat it. One to work on before it gets taken down.
