Day 2 of MLS Assessment. We concentrated on group management on steep ground and emergency rope work whilst ascending the north ridge of Tryfan. We left the ridge before we got to the top and headed towards Heather Terrace as the weather was coming in and so that we could practice our skills going downhill too!
Area :
Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
