Description

Personal climbing session after my coaching session.
I did my normal warm up protocol and then:
2x VB-V0
3x V1-V2
2x V3-V4
1x V4-V5
I then attempted the yellow on the left of the prow that I had bailed off yesterday and got it first go. I then looked at the yellow on the wall opposite the prow and repeated that. Then focused my attention back to the white problem with the heel hook start. Gave it a good dozen attempts, getting closer to holding the macro. But my hip flexors on my left leg started fatiguing, so I decided to move on. Flash a purple comp problem to the right of the white problem. Pretty straight forward problem, starting from pressing into two macros and smearing a high right foot on the volume and then locking off to allow the right hand to move up to the next hold. Then match that hold and reposition your feet, before making a dead point to the top hold.
I then moved around and looked a 3 other white problems in various sections of the wall. The problem in the Void was the most enjoyable to work and I reckon will go within a couple of sessions. I just need to stick the compression move and get my right foot up.
The mantle problem on the slab, is causing me grief. I'm not good at the muscle up type of mantle problems and this is one of them. I did try getting a high foot and then trying the mantle, but my body weight is then too bunched up to move effectively.
The third problem is on the wall opposite the cave. It's annoying me as I flashed the problem to the top... from the second move. I just cant figure out the starting position. I think I'm reading it correctly, but I just haven't been able to hold the starting position.
