Description

First day on Dmoor.
First group kept in check but nav was spot on so besides environmental, ecological education allowed them to move forwards and contact at different points to check in and move in through radio.
Second group much weaker and had to use sifnicsnt group management to keep together, Lots of nav prompts and getting them to relearn how to take bearings, timings and pacing. Students began getting it but just past B-road down student felt faint and light headed so laid down. Put group in 2 group shelters and feet up with sugar foods and plenty of water. Running theory didn’t have enough food or water throughout. Got her back walking and evacced near Bagga Tor. Then went past Stanton. I could see red flags so called head of OE re live firing. He tasked me with an alternative plan which we made. Met at Lane Head and moved to Nodden gate to camp before night nav
