Description

A grand day out with Simon Hall. Quite cold and windy on the top, but lots of sunshine. Simon led all day as it was a big jump in grade for me today since my injury, so it was good to climb harder without the psych. However, I have a bit of tendonitis in my elbow at the minute and I got really tired as the day went on.
More strong leading by Simon. I found the lower stuff reasonable, but by now I was getting very tired and the tendinitis in my left elbow was screaming… okay I was weak. Multiple attempts to get into the crack, each time getting a little bit higher. Then I suddenly found myself moving more quickly again and I was at the top before the rain started.

Area : Lowland Outcrops: The Stirling Outcrops

The Stirling outcrops in this trad climbing lowland outcrops area include the major venues of the Cambusbarron and Wolfcrag quarries and the natural dolerite outcrop of North Third. The area north of Stirling to the north of the Highland Boundary Fault (i.e. to the north of Callander) should not be entered here but instead are included in either the sport or trad sections of the areas of DLOG that are in the West and Central Highlands region.
