DESCRIPTION OF ROUTE:
Snowdon Via Llanberis Path
Me and my family where on holiday during the Easter holidays and decided that we where going to climb Snowdon, the weather was great and like many others they had the same idea, we had planned to go along the pyg track but didn’t arrive to Snowdon till 11am and of course the car park was full, we managed to park the car close to the beginning of the llanberis path, and headed off just after half 11.
The path was extremely busy, buy the time we had reached the main path it felt like you had to pay more attention to who you might walk in to that where you where walking, we stopped off at the half way station for lunch and buy the time we reached the summit it was 5, we had walked slow and when we got to the top it was still busy but many people had started to make there way down, this was the first time I had been on the summit when It was clear. The views where fantastic and could easily see the entire national park. This was great as we even had the trig point to our selves. We then visited the Café and had the chance to look around, this was the first time I had been into the new building and was a good chance to have a look around before the next train arrived. On our way down I convinced them to walk along to the summit of Garnedd Ugain. The way down was relaxing the temperature had dropped and was lovely evening we passed many mountain bikers walking up making the most of the long days. We treated ourselves to an ice cream at the café near the bottom of the path and arrived back at the car at 20:00pm
