Description

A solid day out with Chris, Dan and Mike (ex-student). I followed Mike up the hard ones but pleased with both hvs which were top end.

Area : Clwyd Limestone Trad Routes

The limestone crags of Clwyd are situated on the escarpment above Llangollen. UK Climbing says of Pinfold Crag in Llangollen, ‘A magnificent group of crags offering the visitor a great variety of climbing in all grades. Wall climbing, jamming cracks sport routes, lunatic fringe routes, and even some aid can all be had here.’ There is also a gritstone quarry at the far end of the escarpment, often used by groups.
