With Charlie. Up the Heather Terrace route to the saddle to near the Far South Peak of Tryfan. Picked up a father and daughter on route, who were not sure of where to go. Stayed together until the saddle, then gave them advice on best exit route as the daughter was tired. Carried on up to Tryfan summit with Charlie, there was a fair amount of snow higher up, which made the scrambling in the boulder fields a big challenge. Got to one of the subsidiary summits but gave up on the main summit, 10 meters short, due to snow and time concerns. Changed plan route and headed back to Idwal cottage rather than Cwm Tryfan due to time constraints and tired legs. Lovely day out!

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
