First day of first trip to the Rila mountains in Bulgaria. This was a post-flight reconisance walk to get a sense of the trails. maps and area. We took the chair lift from Borevets up to the trails to save time then summited the (relatively small peak of Shatar (2495m) walked round to the Masala Hut then joined back to the chair lift via the Kamak trail.
