Description

Gondola up and uplifts. Climbing in a group of 4, ended up climbing with Becky Coles. Faffy abseil in. Go hard left to separate abseil tat that might get you to floor in 60m down line of Left Twin? Becky climbed the 1st and last pitch. I took the 2nd crux pitch. Nut just after belay then no gear for a long way, awkward moves to get to a couple of pegs and step left.
Gross day, proper hot aches at the belay. Couldn`t convince anyone to stay and climb a 2nd route.

Area : Aonach Mor and Aonach Beag (winter)

These two mountains to the north of Ben Nevis provide contrasting winter climbing venues. The east and west faces of Aonach Mor are easily accessible from the gondola and the east face especially provides many short, interesting and relatively non-serious climbs. Beware of avalanche conditions however. The cliffs of Aonach Beag however, are much more remote and much less frequented, but when in condition the ice climbs on its north face are highly sought-after.
