Description

Guiding and coaching Rosemary being mentored by Andy Spink 3rd day, Susan Guest also came out again. Tim Oates out observing. Rosemary was knackered and poor forecast so took chairlift up Glen Coe ski resort. Spent the day looking at snow anchors, Bucket Seats combined with Buried Axe and Snow Bollards. Did some movement skills and some avalanche awareness before putting it all into practice for a short journey.

Area : Glencoe North (Loch Leven To Rannoch Station)

This area covers the northern side of Glen Coe and the mountains north of Rannoch Moor. Notable features include the Pap of Glencoe, the Aonach Eagach ridge (home to a few kilometres of horizontal scrambling) and the remote peak of Stob na Cruiache which is generally accessed from the train station to the east. Includes all major peaks above 600m.
