Description

I took Claire Power who I met from UKC, up the Cniefon Arete. It was very wet and with small gusts of wind. It was a great adventure as she wanted to test herself in harsher conditions and was more than comfortable on grade 3 ground in the wet. After topping out she wanted to practise some more short roping on the top of Y Cribin which was great to facilitate up there. After this we headed back down to the Ogwen car park.

Area : Glyderau

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
