Description

After completing the climb myself and my partner abseiled from the top. After reaching our second abseil spike my partner then abseiled first and the spike gave way and fell. He then continued to fall 30m luckily hitting a ledge halfway to slow himself down. Once we established his injuries (severe lower leg cut) a walker who was passing by called for Cockermouth MRT. I was stuck on a ledge for 4 hours whilst a team of walkers took it in turns supporting my partner and keeping him warm. Once rescued by the MRT we returned to Sheffield for him to seek medical attention.
