I started in the industry as a volunteer for a charity in outdoor pursuits for a year in 2004 which was my introduction to outdoor pursuit leadership with highly qualified and experienced instructors in the industry, this enabled me elevant experience and basic local qualifications.
Following this, I pursued further freelance work, increasing my national awards, experience and a variety of other leadership qualifications including low hill walking, high ropes, kayaking, mountain biking, mountain leadership training and advanced indoor and outdoor climbing and abseiling awards, I also qualified and worked as a High ropes access technician for 2 years at the same time.
After a varied career working for many companies in outdoor education and high ropes access work I launched my own business Extreme Ventures in 2012 and have operated a successful outdoor Climbing business, in 2016 I expanded the business opening and operated an indoor climbing wall in Brighton but unfortunately it didnt survive the pandemic.
We have employed a variety of qualified instructors over the years local in the South East but the majority of leading and business operations full upon my own responsibility.
I have been a mountain training provider in Rock Skills, a director of National Indoor Climbing Awards Scheme as well a teacher and instructor in all the above, We are an approved Southern Sandstone leadership awards provider as well.
We operate all year round in any weather providing adventures from beginners to advanced.
