I am a passionate mountaineer and mountain biker who has explored every corner of Scotland, in all weathers! I am intrigued by the history of the areas that we visit, the people who have shaped and moulded the customs, culture and landscape so that it is as we find it today. The battles and feuds, heroic acts and dark mythology that has impacted on the place names and character of the hills and glens are as varied and interesting as any you will find elsewhere in the world - and it is a pleasure and joy to seek them and explore them with others.
I have worked in the outdoors since 2008, within a wide variety of backgrounds. Within outdoor education I have worked in both the public and private sector at a number of outdoor centres, focusing on the health and well-being of primary children. And within my capacity of a guide I have led groups into almost every mountain range in Scotland, and worked with some of the biggest names in adventure travel such as Wilderness Scotland, National Geographic, MT Sobek and Wilderness Travel amongst others. I pride myself on my deep and intricate knowledge of Scotland's history, and love nothing more than a long journey in these wild places on foot or by bike. As a holder of the Winter & Summer mountain leader awards, along with the UKMBL MTB Level 3 Leader award amongst many other qualifications, I am ideally suited to satisfy your adventure needs!
