I have always loved spending as much time in the outdoors as possible, especially in mountainous areas and love hiking and trekking. I first rock climbed about 15 years ago and it has been a passion ever since. I live in the South East, just a 5 minute drive from the Southern Sandstone outcrops of Harrisons, Bowles , Eridge and Stone Farm Rocks.
Three years ago I obtained my Southern Sandstone Leaders Award and teach outdoors part time. Last year I received my CWA and CWAA and now also teach at indoor climbing venues.
My next goal is to obtain a the MLA with a view to leading walking and trekking groups and getting involved with the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and scout groups across the UK.

I have always loved spending as much time in the outdoors as possible, especially in mountainous areas and love hiking, trekking and exploring new areas. I first rock climbed as a student , mostly in Wales and The Peaks, then after a long break due to having young children and living overseas I came back to climbing about 10 years ago. I live in the South East, just a 5 minute drive from the Southern Sandstone outcrops of Harrisons, Bowles , Eridge and Stone Farm Rocks. Five years ago I obtained my Southern Sandstone Leaders Award, followed soon after by my CWA and CWAA and I have since been teaching climbing at various venues mostly outdoors and also indoors in Sussex. I work indoors at Tonbridge Boys School and at Skinners school in Tunbridge Wells and I teach outdoors to a variety of groups of both children and adults at Harrision's Rocks.
Although I love climbing my main passion is walking and the mountains and so I have gained my LLA and I am working towards my MLA . I have done the ML training which was a fantastic week where I learned so much, but as I live in Sussex and such a long way from the mountains it could be a while before I get all my QMD's and go for assessment. My main work is currently working with various outdoor companies, training and assessing DofE groups, I am also a walking leader, leading groups of adults on walks locally.
I have found that I absolutely love teaching and working outside; I love the variety of the groups, being a part of their achievements and working in the outdoors.
