New Leader Responsibilities e-learning course live

31.03.25

Mountain Training has created a new Leader Responsibilities e-learning course, launching alongside the new Bouldering Wall Instructor qualification. The course is suitable for people pursuing any of our leadership or instructional qualifications as the Leader/Instructor responsibilities competencies are shared by all our walking and climbing qualifications.

The e-learning course covers a broad range of topics including the importance of risk assessments and why duty of care and safeguarding matter to a leader. It also explores current legislation, accessibility and where to find national guidance.

We have decided to charge a fee for this e-learning course, with an introductory offer:

  • £20 for candidates registered for a qualification who are not Association members
  • £30 for non-candidates

Access to the course is guaranteed for 3 years and our Association members will gain half a CPD point upon completion.

Association membership unlocks this course for free and provides access to more online and in-person development opportunities for Trainee and Qualified members, as well as a whole host of other amazing benefits including generous discounts and regional groups.

Our decision to begin charging for e-learning is based on our commitment to long-term quality. We are committed to maintaining up to date e-learning courses, created by subject matter experts, that support our leaders and instructors to progress and perform. As with our publications and the in-person courses delivered by our approved providers, we value the content of this course and we're confident you will too.
