This course is aimed at Mountain Leaders and aspirant Mountain Leaders who want to gain experience and confidence in terrain that is beyond ML territory. The course will be delivered by Max Hunter an experienced Lochaber based MIC. The day will be on a 1:2 ratio and will involve the exploration of graded scrambles in Glencoe, looking at route finding, personal movement and the use of appropriate equipment. At the end of the day, you should be able to tackle rocky and steep terrain in a safe, confident and competent manner. All kit can be provided (helmet, harness, ropes, etc.) but please bring your own if you have it. Please note: This is a personal skills course and is not designed to extend the scope of your work as an ML holder. Skills we be delivered in the context of recreational mountaineers going out together rather than leaders guiding novices.
