IDEAS FOR TEACHING NAVIGATION: This workshop provides a toolbox of navigation teaching ideas for those working with young people on DofE, Scouts, Cadets etc. It also sets out a stepped approach to teaching navigation and can assist in developing some simple lesson plans to support an extended programme of teaching navigation linked to the skills required at each level of youth awards such as DofE and NNAS. The day should take you through from map setting to compass work and is aimed at those wanting to also improve their own navigation skills. Timings: 9am - 5pm What to bring: Bring a packed lunch and dress appropriately for the weather and time of year. Sessions will be held both indoors and outside so please dress warmly.
