ACCESS & ENVIRONMENT CONSIDERATIONS for leaders working with groups
The first half of the day will look at setting objectives, information sources, itinerary planning and approaches to environmental interpretation, and will be followed by a more practical outdoor session studying local vegetation and habitat types. This day is of use to anyone with awards at all levels who are looking to consolidate their skills in access and the environment, but would also be useful to those who are trained and working through their logbook consolidation.
Tutor: David Broom is a highly qualified ecologist and has worked on multiple Mountain leader training courses and assessments.
Timings: 9am - 5pm
What to bring: Bring a packed lunch and dress appropriately for the weather and time of year. Sessions will be held both indoors and outside so please dress warmly.
