A full day workshop looking at Gorge Walking as an activity from a leaders perspective. This is an opportunity to get up close and personal with a gorge and develop your knowledge and skills for being in a combined water and rock environment. During the day we will look at developing knowledge on how, Instructors can comply with local access and conservation issues, plan an appropriate session for their group, Manage a range of activities in and around the water margins. There will be a session in the morning covering access and conservation followed by a gorge walk with plenty of practical opportunities to get stuck in. The workshop is open to MTA members who have passed ML, and are competent, confident swimmer. You will need to bring your own personal equipment including as a minimum all of the following, A wet-suit or dry-suit suitable for the conditions, A buoyancy aid, A rock climbing helmet.
